Messages for June 2017: Our Month of Glory
Message
for Sunday the 11th of June, 2017
Theme: Positioning for the
Glory of God
Topic: How to Reflect the
Glory of God
Introduction: So far, we have seen
what glory means and that man has no glory means and that man has no glory of
his own. Man is designed by God to reflect His glory to become glorious. This
explains why it is necessary for the glory of the Lord to be risen upon us
before we can arise and shine. While we are at this, let us note the following
truths about the glory of God in relation to man.
1.
We are the light of the world: Therefore, glory is our
destiny. It takes light to glow. We are as a city set on a hill that cannot be
moved. Jn.5:13-16.
2.
To shine as light which also means to reflect God’s glory, we must do so by
good works: It
is the good works we do that the heathen would see and come to our light.
Isa.60:1-3; Eph.2:10 and Dan.12:3.
How to do good works: Until the work you do
is the one ordained for you by God before the foundation of the world, it
cannot be called God work. See Eph.2:10; Gen.50:18-21. For us to do good works
therefore, we have to take the following steps:
First we sincerely enquire from
God to know exactly why He made us because that would solve the puzzle of why
we were born to us. If the Lord does not reveal our purpose to us, we cannot
know it and we cannot begin to run in the course He has charted for us. Thus we
have to seek God in prayer for a divine revelation of our purpose.
Second, God would respond to us
by unfolding His plan to us through a vision. This is not ambition or a chosen
carrier; it is a product of your discovery from God of His plan for your life.
God’s vision creates your goals and enables you to plan the life He intends for
you.
Thirdly, we run with the vision
in the following ways:
1.
You make it plain on table: In other words, commit your vision into writing.
Hab.2:2-3;
2.
Strategize with it for accomplishment: Where vision is, the
people can make laws for themselves to guide them in enabling them to fulfill
their divine purpose. Prov.29:18; Lk.14:28-33. This is planning. To fail
to plan is to plan to fail. Planning cannot be compromised in the life of
anyone who is going somewhere.
We shall conclude here today
but next week, we shall continue the part two of the above topic by looking the
five pillars we would need to understand and embrace to enable us position
properly to reflect God’s glory. Meanwhile, there is someone reading this
material now who is yet to make the first commitment of the new birth. This is
the foundation for reflecting the glory of God as the glory cannot be reflected
by dead spirits. Everyone who is not born again is a dead spirit and therefore
not alive enough to reflect the glory of God. If you are in this category and
desire to make it right with God at once, you can do so right away by saying
the following prayer out loud in faith and you will be born again:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner.
Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my
Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and
from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my
Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.
