what the word is and Levels of the word

Messages for January 2018: Our Month of The word of God
Message for Wednesday 3rd January, 2018
Theme: Exploring the Word of God
Topic: what the word is and Levels of the word
Introduction: once again I welcome you to our year of divine visitation. This year you will experience the turnaround visitation of the Lord that would turn your mourning into dancing and your wilderness into a fruitful garden. This year, God will visit you like He did Sarah and make you to laugh and cause others to come and laugh with you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We shall start off today introducing this great topic by looking at what the word is and the various levels of the word of God.
What the word of God is: The Oxford dictionary defines the word as the word of God or the Bible. We can conclude here that the word is what God says which has been encapsulated in the bible and the word is God. By the second definition, we can say that the word of God is a person. The bible shows us clearly who that person is and that person is the Lord Jesus Christ. See Jn.1:1-14; Col.1:16-18; Jn.5:39 and Rev.19:9-16.
How man gained access to the word of God: After man sinned against God, people fell short of the glory of God and therefore lost access to Him. The result is that man became hopeless and without God in the world. See Eph.2:12; Rm.3:23.
In time, people began to press for more intimate relationships with God and began to hear from God and be led by Him. But it was not the same as before the fall. Over time, through divine revelation, people began to understand how to relate with God and walk in his ways. A good example from the Old Testament is Enoch who walked with God in such intimacy to the point that God took him without his having to die physically. These men were known as holy men of God. The bible which we call the word of God is a compilation of the revelation given by God to these Holy men and women and preserved for us to learn from. See
Another means by which man gained access to God is through His Son Jesus Christ who speaks to us in these last days.
Hebrews 1:1-3 says:
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”
The last days began on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:1-4 when the Church of Jesus Christ was born. Since that day, people can gain access to God through His Church because the Church is the body of Christ and whenever the Church speaks, Christ is speaking to the world because you cannot separate a person from his body. Whenever Christ is speaking, God is speaking as well. See Eph.1:22-23
In fact, the whole bible is a prophecy; that is why the apostle Peter refers to it as the more sure word of prophecy. In 2Peter 1:19, we read:
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:”
LEVELS OF THE WORD OF GOD: There are two levels of the word of God namely LOGOS (which is the written word that has been packaged as the bible. This is the first level of the word we must operate faithfully to grow to the next level of word) and RHEMA, which is the word of God spoken directly to your heart for the now. For instance, there are certain decisions you will need to make like where to work or reside that are not clearly stated in the written word. God can still speak to you about such things and all the time, the decisions He leads you to make will never contradict the principles of the written word. See 2Tim.3:16-17
So if you receive any “rhema” that contradicts the logos in principle, that word is null to the extent of its contradiction; you cannot call it a word from God indeed! Rhema refers to the word of God revealed to the individual directly by God. This word will however never contradict the written word like we have already seen. In Romans 10:17 the Bible says: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
I like the way a man of God puts this text. He says; ‘’so then faith cometh by hearing and understanding a word of God.” In other words when you hear the word of God, you come to a place of comprehension. When you can comprehend what the word is saying to you directly as an individual, taking the scripture not out of context; but in context; in the sense that whatever you understand from the scripture will not contradict any principle of scriptures; then you have come to place of having faith.
You cannot base faith on the mere letters of the word. The Bible says the letter killeth but the Spirit giveth life (2Cor.3:6). You base your faith on the revealed word of God to you and that revealed word is the rhema. So your faithfulness in following the logos (the word of God revealed to holy men of God and packaged in the Bible) would enable God entrust you with the rhema. If God does not reveal the word to you, you cannot see it [see Isa.2:1]. This is because the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God as a result of the limitations placed on him by the five senses. Our physical senses can only relate with the material world. They are ignorant of the existence of the spirit world from where God’s word originates because God is a Spirit (see 1Cor.2:13-14 & Jn.4:23-24). The good news however is that, God wants to reveal his word to you more you want to know it.
For want of time and space, we would draw the curtain here but someone is reading this that is yet to respond in faith to the gospel of salvation. If you are that person, you can choose to respond right away by saying the following prayer out loud in faith and you will be born again:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Understanding the nature of the word of God pt.1

Messages for January 2018: Our Month of The word of God
Message for Sunday 7th January, 2018
Theme: Exploring the Word of God
Topic: Understanding the nature of the word of God pt.1
Introduction: when the Lord gave me the word for this month I immediately knew that He was setting us up for a great year. The truth is that the first step to anything worthwhile is its beginning. The beginning of any existence except God is the creation of that existence. For instance the bulk of the existence of any crisis in any life came about because they were created. In the same way no good thing can happen in a life without being created. The big question is how do we get to create all the exceeding great and precious promises God has made to us in this year of our divine visitation? My answer is that the only way we can get to know is by finding out from the best person and that person is God because He is the eternal Creator. When we learn how He creates, we can also find out from Him how to do likewise.
God is the Creator: Many of us read the book of Genesis chapter 1 and think that that was all the creation God had to do. I beg to dissent here because if that was all then we would still have been the way Adam and Eve were since the beginning and after their fall. God has not stopped creating even though now He applies an additional method called delegation to His creative work. Now let us try to understand from the creator’s manual – The Bible.
1.     In the beginning God… every kind of creation or noble invention begins with God. If the beginning of a thing has no God in it, it can best be described as a copy of the original.  All that was created as we saw in Genesis chapter 1 came about when God created them. See Gen.1:1, Col.1:16 and Jn.1:3.  From these texts, it is evident that God made all things by and for Himself.
2.     God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit: We cannot truly understand God until we know and recognize His triune nature. God is Father – He is called the father of our Lord Jesus Christ; the father of spirits; the father of whom are all things and the God with whom we have to do. See 1Cor.8:6; Heb.4:13; Heb.12:9.
God has a son in the person called Jesus Christ. In Prov.8:22 – 36 God reveals to us when He brought forth His Son. Then in Jn.1:1-14, we are made to see that His Son is the same as the Word of God and that the word became flesh. In Heb.10:4-10, we see the predestination Covenant between the father and the Son that resulted in the Son taking on flesh. Then in Jn.17:4 we see where the Son was telling the father in prayer that it was time for Him to bring to pass the restoration of the place He has with Him from the beginning now that He has fulfilled His purpose of incarnation. Finally in 1Cor.1:30, He is called the wisdom for God and in Revelation 19:13, He is called THE WORD OF GOD.
God is also Spirit: He is known also as the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Christ, The Spirit of God; The Comforter, The promise of the Father; the Spirit of truth etc. See Jn.16:7, 13; Acts1:4 and Jn.14:26.
3.     God made man in His image and after His likeness: He also gave man the triune nature of spirit, soul and Body. In 1Thess.5:23, we are made to understand that man is a spirit just like God is a Spirit. Man has a soul and lives in a body. Just like Jesus Christ is the express image of the invisible God and showing us what God looks like; in the same way, man’s body and soul expresses who the man is and what he looks like. The soul is the realm of man that think/reasons, imagine/creates, and makes choices and feels. See Prov.23:7; Gen.11:6; Rm.12:2; Philippians 4:8.
How God Creates: To understand how God creates, we have to go to the beginning. In Gen.1:1-3, we see the entire process of creation. First God’s Spirit broods over the adverse situation of a formless and void world caused by the devastation of the war in heaven that resulted in the flood of Lucifer that covered the earth [Gen.1:3; Isa.14:12-15; Ez.28:14-19 and Isa.45:18]. After brooding over it, the Holy Spirit came up with the solution of recreating the world and placing man on earth to rule over it instead of the fallen angel. This time, he did not make man as beautiful as he made the angel that fell because he wanted to glorify Himself by bringing beauty out of the mud He used to make man. When he had decided what he wanted to bring forth, He spoke them into existence. Thus from this text, we gather that the material with which God creates are:
1.     The imagination. See Heb.11:3 and Gen.1:1-3.
2.     The spoken word.  See Ps.33:6, 9; Jn.1:1-3
This is the standard God has set for creation and man is expected to follow this pattern if he is going to create anything. This is the means for building any kind of business and inventing any product for the general good. To try to create any other way would be illegal. In fact, it is impossible. Good things are created by imagination mixed with speech and bad things are also created that way. Sadly, many people make the wrong choice in creating and instead of using their imagination to glorify God by creating God’s way, they end up scheming and losing it altogether.
When God handed over creation to man on earth, He thereby made man the only authentic source of creation on earth apart from Himself. The means by which man creates is the same that God uses. Even if God has to create anything on earth today, He would still involve man. Thus no spirit can create anything on earth without partnering with man. In Philemon 1:14 Apostle Paul demonstrated this principle when he told the disciple that he would do nothing without engaging the mind of the disciple so that the will of the disciple can be involved in what was to be done which could also be a creation:
The imagination and the spoken word. See Rm.10:8-11 and Mk.11:23.
We shall stop here today for want of time and space. Next week, we shall continue this message with the part 2 titled: Conditioning the imagination and speech for creating God’s way. Meanwhile, someone is reading this blog who does not yet know the Lord Jesus Christ in experience even though He died to set you free to become all you were destined by God to become. This is a very opportune time for you to make the choice of eternal life because that is the only way to overcome the trials of the times we are in. If you want to become victorious, you can take the first step right away by saying the following prayer out loud in faith and you will become born again and initiated into the family of God and blessed with the right to create:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Welcome to the month of January 2018: Our Month of The word of God

In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God…” John 1:1-5
“For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, and dominion, or principalities or powers: all things were created by Him and for him:… Col.1:16-18

In 2003 I authored my first book titled: The word of His power. The reason I chose this title for a book then and which still informs all of my writings is that I have found out that the game changer for any life is the word of God. It was the game changer for my life and still the game changer in any life. Truth be told, everything revolves around and have their constitution in the word of God. It has the power to create, repair, heal, guide right, and every good thing you can or cannot imagine. Sadly however, many people do not pay attention to it. Come to think of it, every purported religion draws from the principles of the word of God and many of them have documented manuals copying the word and trying to adapt it to suit their purpose before adopting it. Every principle of success taught around the world that has any lasting result is copied from the word of God even when not acknowledged.
As an attorney, I understand that as far as running things anywhere is concerned, the rules governing each place must be drawn from the constituted authority there. This can be likened to the entire universe owned by God who created it with His word.
Everything that happens in the universe is determined by the word of God. Good submits to the word and evil also submits to the word. Nothing can be done without the word. God is bound by His word. Satan is also bound by the word of God. No matter what evil he wants to perpetrate, he cannot act without authority as constituted by God. Nothing can be done without divine permission. For instance, spirits have no authority on earth without human consent and that is why God uses people to further His cause on earth and Satan also uses people to get anything done on earth. People are spirits on earth with a voice with which they can speak to either permit God in their lives or permit Satan in their lives. Knowing this truth has liberated me a great deal because without my consent, Satan cannot oppress me. Also if I consented to his oppression prior, I can withdraw my consent because spirits have no authority on earth without an earthly body to work through. [Deu.30:19 and Prov.18:21].
In light of the above, I have also seen that the instrument for making the right choices in life is God’s word combined with the authorization of His Spirit to work in me to will and to do of His own good pleasure. [Philippians 2:13]. Therefore, as an act of my will, I can yield my entire being to God for His purpose so that we can really be one in the strictest sense of the word. The means by which this can be actualized however, is the word of God. See 1Cor.6:17.
The word of God is the book of life which I consider the creator’s manual for mankind and his environment. From our text scripture above, it is evidently the book of life and the means for getting things done anywhere. A look at the temptation of Jesus Christ by the devil in Matthew 4 and all the other accounts of the gospel where he was tempted; would reveal that the devil had no argument challenging the authenticity of the word; so all are subject to and governed by the word of God. God’s word is therefore the statute book by which the entire universe is run.
I find it interesting that there is hardly any school on earth where you find a course known as the word of God by which all are bound and that is quite disheartening. This goes to show that people learn about everything except about life.  This makes preaching the gospel imperative for us especially at the times we are in now because the return of the Lord is at hand and we must work to get as many as possible to believe the good news. Daniel revealed the manifestation of the kingdom of God we are called to preach in his interpretation of the dream of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel chapter 2:44-45 and this came to pass after Jesus came some hundreds of years later and paid the full price for our redemption so that God could separate a people to himself on earth as his children. He also sent the Holy Spirit to start residing in us to help us live as His own in fulfillment to Joel’s prophecy of the end times in Joel 2:28-29 and Ezekiel’s prophecy in Ezek.36:24-27 which were fulfilled in Acts 2 until today. This is why we pray in the spirit now and we are led by the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. See Rm.8:16 and 26 & Jn.16:13.
In light of the above, this first month of our year of divine visitation, we shall be learning all we possibly can of the word of God because doing the word is our life and the length of our days [Deu.30:19-20]. We shall therefore be looking at a very interesting theme this month tagged: “Exploring the word of God”. In all our meetings this year, this is what we shall be looking at and we are all set for another Nehemiah project soon in preparation for our divine visitation which is a sure deal from God this year.
Meanwhile someone is reading this that is yet to make a commitment to Jesus Christ and you desire to be visited by the Lord. Do not let Him meet you unsaved when you should have taken advantage of His free gift of salvation. Get in the boat and be saved so that you can be visited without judgement. Every unsaved person is a sinner and therefore would be afraid to meet him because he is still under the devil’s influence and would therefore fear to meet the Lord like the devil is constantly afraid of the end. If you are in that category and believing for God to visit you even to help you for any need you have, you can be visited right away if you are willing to repent indeed. If this is you, please say the following prayer out loud in faith and you will be initiated into God’s family because God would only relate with you on the basis of the covenant of new birth:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

WELCOME TO THE YEAR 2018: OUR YEAR OF DIVINE VISITATION!

“And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. Gen.21:1-2
And, behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Rev.22:12-13

In the year 2017, the word of the Lord found expression in our life as a ministry as the Lord really made room for us and caused us to be fruitful in the land. We have been so grateful for that to the point that we have commenced and aspect of the ministry that would place a lot of demands on us to deliver. The early morning praise was introduced and has been running in our branches. A new church building project was also commenced in one of our foreign mission stations. We saw the hand of God in many areas of the ministry so much that the only thing we could do was to set up a structure by which we can come to appreciate God on a more consistent basis. This explains our early morning praise which has blessed us big time.
This word of the Lord was given to me when I began to wonder what the prophetic theme for the year 2018 was going to be before the end of 2017. The Lord just spoke to my heart on that faithful day that it was going to be our year of divine visitation. As I pondered on this word, it dawned on me that divine visitation is usually initiated by God and like any other thing He does, the terms are as determined by Him. In our first text scripture above, we see the story of Abraham and Sarah who had believed God for twenty five years to become the parents of nations. At the time when they had the last conversation about this promise, God had told them that within a year from then, he was going to visit them and Sarah would have a son. This was twenty four years later!!!
This was really interesting because Sarah had stopped believing and Abraham had already resigned his fate to Ishmael being the child of promise but God did not forget. His faithfulness spoke loud and clear here when He made a distinction between the fulfilment of His promise to a man and the attempt of man to help him carry out His word. Truth is that Ishmael was the result of the faithlessness of Abraham and Sarah but the compassionate God did not want them to seek Him in vain so He came to them to awaken their faith when they had given up. In Genesis 17:15-21, Abraham requested that the blessing be given to Ishmael. God told him that even though he would bless Ishmael, the promise shall be inherited by Isaac a son to be borne to him by his wife Sarah according to the time of life in a year’s time.
God was on schedule when the next year according to the word of the Lord, Sarah gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age fulfilling a twenty five year old promise God had made to him within the space of one year to prove according to the words of Solomon in 1Kings 8:15 that what the mouth of the Lord has spoken, His hand will bring it to pass.
The year 2018 is a year when God will bring many longstanding promises He has made to his people to pass. However, like the case of Abraham, these promises are coming to pass only by the hand of God. Therefore, anyone looking up to God for the fulfillment of His word to them must position themselves to receive it through spirituality so that the Holy Spirit can easily reach them to guide them into His purpose for them. This is because the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God because they are foolishness to him neither can he experience them because they are spiritually discerned. This said, we need not be told that this year is one in which we have to be very spiritual to be able to access all that God has for us. This is why this year, we shall be engaging in a lot of spiritual exercises; the first of which is our fast of the first month of the year. This will help us enforce this prophecy and at the same time position us to be able to live in such a way as to realize the blessings it offers us.
This year also, we shall commence our home cell fellowships to encourage spiritual growth and godly fellowships at the cell level to enable us reach more people more effectively with the light of the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ultimately, the Lord revealed to me in one of our early morning praise sessions when He just told me He was coming soon that He was coming with rewards for those who have been faithful to Him based on what heart He sees in them. When God visits, He comes with the two edged sword of reward for the faithful and judgement for the wicked. When He returns, he is coming as a judge to give to every man according to his works whether they are good or bad.
We can position ourselves by good works from the heart for His reward or strip ourselves of that place by evil works because He is a righteous judge and would judge righteously. According to our second text, we are taught that we should stay consistent in any way we have chosen to live; whether righteously or unrighteously. The lord will surely visit us this year and will bring His word to pass in our lives. In Ps.102:13 we are told that the Lord will arise to have mercy on Zion because this is the set time to favour her.
I believe this year is God’s set time to favour us; therefore, this year we shall be taking delivery of all that God has assured us of in the past. It is my heart felt prayer that all of us shall partake of the blessing of this year in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
To someone reading this today, this may be strange because you have never made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life. If you have read to this point and are yet to be saved, it is because you want to be saved. If that is your desire, please say the following prayer out loud in faith and you shall be born again:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Jubilee in relation to praise for our prosperity

KINGDOM HEIRS ministries int’l Inc.
140 Ellery avenue Newark NJ 07106 U. S. A.
Messages for December 2017: Our Month of Jubilee
Message for Sunday 31st December, 2017
Theme: Understanding the Keys of the Kingdom of God
Topic: Jubilee in relation to praise for our prosperity
Introduction: Last week, we concluded the topic of applying the keys of the kingdom of God in relation to our prosperity. As this year winds to a close today being the last Sunday of this year there is no better day to look at this topic than today. At the beginning of this month, we saw that when Jubilee was first introduced to the children of Israel, they were told to sound the trumpet in commemoration of the Jubilee. The blast of that trumpet was the announcement to the children of Israel of their liberation from indebtedness and the freedom to live life without any burdens. This is the reason why God commanded that the trumpet be sounded to announce the commencement of the Jubilee. We find this truth in the book of Leviticus 25 where God first commanded that the children of Israel declare the Jubilee for the liberation of the Children of Israel from their debts.
Praise and Jubilee: A look at the definition of praise would reveal that it is mostly communicated accompanied with music, singing, joy and rejoicing. This is the mood God wanted the children of Israel to be in during the jubilee years. Therefore the message we have been looking at this month would be incomplete if we do not look at this aspect of jubilee. This is why today we are looking at Jubilee in relation to praise. The question we need to answer first here is: why does God want us to praise or be in this mood of praise in this month of Jubilee?
1.     It is a principle of God that for service of God to be rewarded, it must be acceptable and a major means by which acceptable service can be offered to God is that the attitude required for service is that it should be done with joy and gladness of heart. In fact the children of Israel were even made to know that the reason for the curse of the law was that they did not serve God with joy and gladness of heart. See Heb.12:28; Deu.28:47-48 and Isa.12:3 – Please read the entire chapter of this text because we would see why Jubilee and praise work together. More would be said of this below when we start to enlarge the truth we are looking at here.
2.     God commanded that the trumpet be used to herald the jubilee and the implication of this was that the children of Israel would have to rejoice before him for the abundance of all that he was making available to them. The converse of the text in Deu.28:47-48 makes us understand that if we serve God for with joy and gladness of heart for the abundance of all things, then we cannot serve our enemies. We would surely not suffer disease, fear, sickness, oppression of any kind and all the other ills that go with serving the enemy. Remember, prosperity is to be whole with nothing missing and nothing broken. See Lev.25:9 and Ex.15:1-21 [please read this].
3.     Praise which is accompanied by instrument of music like the trumpet is the means by which God has designed for us to cooperate with him in executing vengeance upon the wicked that have risen up against us and punishment upon our oppressors. This is because praise releases his strength upon us and causes us to prevail over all of our adversaries. Every judgement written in God’s word against our enemies is executed when we lift up high praises to God and the beauty of this is that we can do this solo upon our beds at night at home. See Ps.149:5-9 and Ex.15:1-21.
Aiding and abetting praise: Whereas this is a term used in relation to crime as it has to do with someone helping a crime to happen. In the same way, many on earth have viewed praise as a crime because of the reaction of our enemies to praise. We are really surrounded by enemies. I recall when we first started early morning praise in our Churches; our musical instruments were attacked by witches in the environment until God put a stop to their nuisance. Some of them even began to join us to praise.  Therefore, if they consider praising God a crime, I want to be guilty of committing it because I cannot be ashamed of the gospel even in spite of the opinion of ungodly men and women. See Rm.1:16.
Aiding and abetting praise therefore; simply has to do with what can be done to make us very praiseful or to encourage us to live a praiseful life?  The key of the kingdom for unlocking this very powerful instrument of praise is gratitude to God. Anyone who can think right will not have any problem returning praise to God as this year winds up because a right thinking person can remember that God has been good. What are we to think about?
1.     We must understand that every day we live in time is another opportunity provided to us by the Lord to fulfill divine expectations of us packaged with God’s thought of peace towards us. Recently I had the opportunity to minister to someone suffering from depression that had affected her so much that she was almost losing it. All that God did to get her out of her depression was to give me a word for her in Jeremiah 29:11.  I was led to tell her to read it to herself; as she read it, she broke out in tears and I could tell she was seeing that word for the first time in her life.  That scripture says that God’s thought towards us are good and not evil; to prosper us and not to harm us; to give us a hope and a future. When she saw this, she was set free from depression because she was now given food for right thinking that dislodged all the evil thoughts that brought about the depression in the first place. This was to fulfill the word in Ps.107:20 where we are told that God sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions. Right thinking is food for the prosperity of the soul and when this is in place in the life of anyone, their prosperity is established because like we have seen earlier this month, the level of prosperity anyone can enjoy has to do with the level of the prosperity of their souls.
I once heard a man of God say that when we are thankful, we would be very praiseful. This is very apt. Why would we not praise God who always does well to us? See 3Jn.1:2 and 1Thess.5:23.
2.      From the beginning of time, God has been. He never needed our help to be God. He has been and will forever be the most high [Heb.11:6; Ps.92:1 and Ps.91:9.] If He decided He wanted a family and created us for that purpose, we must be very grateful because we were not the first beings He made. Angels were already created before man yet he did not choose to make them His family. We are the only beings made in His image and likeness and we are currently given the opportunity of exercising our wills to love or reject Him in the midst of a perverse and crooked generation and we can do just that with His help because we are surrounded by our enemies who would rather see us curse God and die. To God be the glory, like Job, God has enabled us to love Him and return gratitude to him and live. This is worth praising God for. See Gen.1:26-28; Job.2:9; Deu.30:19-20 and Heb.1:13-14.
3.     Sin brought man under the influence of death such that if man was to be left like that, his life would have been hopeless and without God in this world without an option. But the love heart of God would not let Him leave man like that; so He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die in our place so that we can be redeemed from the consequence of our ancestral sin [which robbed off on us] and receive eternal life so that we can become truly children of God. See Eph.2:11-22; Rm.3:23-26; Rm.6:19-23; Jn.3:16-19; Rm.8:1(KJV) and Rev.20:11-15.
4.     All things were made by and for the Lord and by Him all things consists: When we praise Him therefore, we fulfil our purpose because we were made by and for him and everything we see put together today were so done by Him and for him. This is not because He is a bigot but because He is our lover; the lover of our souls! See Col.1:12-23; Jn.1:1-5; Isa.43:7 and Lk.19:9-10.
5.     God provides us with all things for our edification: The only request God has ever made to man is that we praise Him. This explains why when He told Hezekiah he was going to die, while Hezekiah made supplications to Him pointing out all his service of the Lord, there was no response from Him but as soon as Hezekiah told Him that only the living can praise the Lord, He immediately ordered the prophet Isaiah to return to him and tell him of the extension of his lifespan by another fifteen years. When the detractors of the Lord tried to discourage people from praising Him, He immediately told them that if they stopped the people stones will be raised to praise him. No wonder the only food we can give to God is praise. Praise is His own so when we praise Him we are giving Him what belongs to him. As a matter of fact music which accompanies praise is the only thing used by man which is made in heaven and not here on earth. See Isa.38:18-19; Ps.30:1-12 and Lk.19:37-40
More can be said on this but I leave the rest to your imagination and action to show that you really understand why you should praise the Lord. Jubilee is just God’s way of saying I love and appreciate your desire for me and I want to ease you of your burden in return. On this note, I would like to wish you all a great end of year in celebration of our God and to tell you to watch out for a greater year ahead because the path of the just is as a shining light that shines more and more unto a perfect day.
Meanwhile, someone is here today that is yet to make Jesus Christ the Lord of his or her life; today is your day. Please do so right away by saying the following prayer out loud in faith and you would become a part of God’s family and begin to enjoy the benefits of the kingdom of God immediately beginning with the forgiveness of all your sins free of your own charge other than repentance. If you want to take advantage of this opportunity, please say the following prayer out loud in faith and you will be born again:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Messages for December 2017: Our Month of Jubilee
Message for Sunday 24th December, 2017
Theme: Understanding the Keys of the Kingdom of God
Topic: Applying the keys of the kingdom of God for your prosperity Pt.3
Introduction: Last week, we began to look at the second part of this topic of applying the keys of the kingdom of God for our prosperity. We saw that knowing the keys alone would not be enough to get business done in the kingdom of God. We have to understand the keys enough to be able to effectively apply them. We also established that the keys of fasting and prayer; even though very effective for the kingdom of God would not answer to the demands that would enable us to prosper God’s way. While they may help us find out what to do, they would not do it for us. We are responsible for our actions which in turn would constitutes the seeds of our greatness.
We began to take the keys for prosperity one by one. First we saw that prosperity is a covenant that answers only to the law of sowing and reaping and that we reap whatever we sow in this kingdom with the understanding that once seeds are sown, it is only a question of time and they would be ripe and ready for harvest. Then we began to look at different dimensions of giving which is the means by which we sow seeds for our prosperity.
Today we shall continue to look at the different dimensions of giving.
The prosperity of the soul determines the level of the prosperity of a person:
We began to look at giving of our financial resources and how it impacts on our general wellbeing last week. Today we shall be looking at the giving of intangible things and how they affect our prosperity. For clarity, we shall be seeing what we do with our time and the word of God. Please understand that the prosperity of the soul has to do with how well your mind, will and emotions are doing. For us to prosper in these areas, we need to be accountable in what we do with our time and the word of God.
The soul of man: This is the part of man that contains his mind, will and emotions. The importance of the soul of man to his wellbeing cannot be overemphasized. It is often said that every form of disability in man can be accommodated except the disability of his mind. If a person loses his mind, his life is lost and only at the mercy of God can he be left to find help. This explains why the Apostle John said in 3Jn.1:2 the he wishes above all things that we prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper. So we can prosper to the extent our soul prospers. Therefore any time you put into the prosperity of your soul is time invested. This is why what we think matters a lot because the bible tells us in Prov.23:7 that we are the sum total of our thought life. Let us therefore see what God teaches us about prosperity in relation to our souls. The mind is the part of the soul responsible for thinking and reasoning; it is the part of us that enables us to read and comprehend what we read. It goes on to analyze what we see and hear and then the will takes over from there and we make decisions based on the conclusions drawn from the analysis of the mind. Our will is responsible for the decisions we make and we drive our decisions to its logical conclusion with the use of our emotions. The emotion is the seat of momentum and this is what provides the energy required for continuity. This is why God commands us to love him with all our hearts, soul and might. All these involve the emotions. See Deu.6:5; Mt.22:37; Mk.12:30 and Lk.10:27
Spiritual prosperity and the soul:  When Joshua took the reins of leadership from Moses, we see a revelation of God’s counsel to him which constitutes the divine open secret of our prosperity. I call this an open secret because it is visible and unambiguous for anyone who can read the bible to see and implement in their lives. In Joshua 1:8, we read this eternal secret of prosperity issued by God to man:
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and thou shalt have good success.”
From this text of scripture, it is very clear that the key of prosperity given by God to Joshua is what John says determines our total wellbeing in 3Jn.2. Here we see the role played by the leader and the word of God. Therefore God’s responsibility to us in relation to prosperity is to reveal the secret of it to us in his word. What we do with the word of God therefore is what is going to determine where we would find ourselves in the journey of destiny.
God’s part: He provides the secret which He has already packaged in His book – The Bible which is His manual for our lives and our environment.
Our part is: Find the secret from the word and do it. To help us, we need to take the following steps which all involve time this is the relationship between time and the word of God:
1.     Find the word: To find the word simply means you should purchase a bible with accurate near to the original translations. I strongly recommend the King James Version and any other translation which have not altered some portions of the bible. Someone may say I don’t have the money to buy, then borrow from someone until you can get yours. I have an aunt who was too poor to go to school so she used to wait for neighbors returning from school to beg for their note books. She would copy them and go and diligently read them. This way, she learnt enough to sit for the national examination that enabled her to go to a teachers training college. Eventually, her status changed. Today she owns a school. So you may start the journey of your prosperity borrowing a bible but things would change as God must honor your diligence. See Heb.11:6; Heb. 6:12 and Prov.22:29.
2.     Read the word: When you have found the word, read it like one eating the kind of food that they enjoy a lot. This is the first step we take in the journey of prosperity. Reading the word enables us to have food for meditation. What you read would fill your thoughts and that is the beginning point of meditation. To meditate is to ponder deeply on a certain thought. Reading the word would therefore provide food for meditation. Apostle Peter rightly describes the word as the food for our spirit. When we read the word daily, it provides the spiritual energy required for our prosperity. See 1Pt.2:2; Rm.12:1 and 1Tim.4:13.
3.     Meditate on the word daily: This is the process that enables you to cultivate the mindset God wants you to have. I see meditation as the process of digesting the word we feed our spirits with so that we can absorb it for our spiritual health benefit. It enables us to think like God and over time, we are empowered for creativity like him. When you cultivate God’s mindset and adopt it as yours, you would be obeying the scripture that enjoins us to be imitators of God as dear children. Meditation also enables us to not conform to this world but be transformed from it so that we could be lovers of God indeed because it helps us to renew our minds to think and act like God does. See Rm.12:2; Jos.1:8; Ps.1:1-3; Eph.5:1[TAB] and 1Jn.2:15-16.
4.     Do the word: After all said about the word of God, it would be pointless if you do not do it. In fact, Jesus taught that if you do not do the word you hear from him, you make yourself like a builder who built with substandard materials and used a substandard pattern. For instance building on sand without foundation is the height of foolishness because at the slightest storm that house would collapse and the result could be devastating. It could cost the life of all the occupants in the house. Our text scripture here points out to us the process that enables us to do the word. What we meditate on is what we would do because the process of meditation takes you to a realm where you would receive understanding and at this point, understanding has the ability to release on you the power to do the word. See Rm.12:2; Jas.1:22-25; Mt.7:24-27; Ps.119:130; and Lk.6:46-49.
5.     Trust God and get busy serving Him while awaiting its fulfilment: This is the point where many people miss out on the principles of God regarding prosperity. Many purported servants of God even in Churches are actually self-serving. For instance people prefer to pray to meet their personal needs instead of praying for the expansion of God’s kingdom on earth. When prayer points are raised for kingdom expansion in many places, people do not usually show interests in them as much as prayers to meet personal needs. The result is the wishi washy kind of Christianity we see around today. Many people are self-disciples or disciples of men rather than disciples of Christ and that is a shame in the times we are in. but Jesus gave us this key in Mt.6:33 where we learn that seeking God’s kingdom first and the right way of doing things in the kingdom is the key to prosperity in the God’s kingdom. I believe the day every child of God pays attention to this scripture and Ex.23:25-26, the Church would really begin to shine more than ever for the world to see the glory of God. See Mt.5:13-16; Isa.11:9; Hab.2:14 and Ps.92:12-15.
For want of time and space, we shall stop here for today. Next week, we shall be looking at Jubilee in relation to praise for our prosperity. Meanwhile, anyone reading this blog today that is yet to make a decision for the Lord is welcome to do so right away by saying the following prayer out loud in faith and you will commence the prosperity journey right away:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord.
