Ps.121:1-2; 108:12; 60:11; Isa.41:10; 50:7 and Heb.4:16
Last month, God favoured us by declaring the month our month of light. So many of us received clear directions for our lives; however, for many of us, attaining those promises look impossible because of the seeming loftiness of them.
I have good news for you! The fact that the direction you received looks unattainable by human standards is proof that God was the one who made the promise to you. Can you remember Abraham who God promised a child in his old age and the wife was barren and long past the age of child bearing? God brought the promise to pass when Abraham was a hundred years old and Sarah was ninety. But it came to pass with the help of God. In Hebrews 11:11, we are told that through faith, Sarah received strength from God to conceive and gave birth to a male child even after she was passed the age of child bearing because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
This month, God has promised to help us! This calls for celebration because Divine Establishments is impossible without the help of God. In Isaiah 41:10, we see His solemn promise to help us. Remember that every promise of scripture is a promise until you take hold of it and believe and act on it; then it becomes a covenant between you and God and God has promised in Ps.89:34 not to break His covenant nor alter the thing that He has spoken. I believe this is what gave the prophet Isaiah the audacity to declare that he would set his face like a flint against his detractors because he was confident that God would help him. God’s promise to one person is a promise to whosoever would believe and receive the promise as their personal possession as soon as the conditions are met. Jesus said to his disciples in Mark 13:37 that what He says to one is meant for all. So you can claim God’s help today whoever you are and receive it. Only the help you receive from God is truly authentic and powerful enough to give you peace of mind without any sorrows attached. In Prov.10:22, we are told that the blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow with it.
Therefore, this month, we shall be looking at how we can take advantage of God’s promise to help us.
However, God requires one qualification for all to access His help and that is you must belong to His family through the new birth experience. This is because, whatever you receive outside his protective covering cannot be guaranteed to remain permanent because you will still be in the devil’s jurisdiction whose business is to steal from you, kill you and finally destroy you. However, if you embrace Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord, you will be translated from the devil’s domain and become a citizen of God’s kingdom. See John 10:10, Col.1:13 and Rm.10:8-11. If you are interested in actualizing this new birth experience, you can say the following prayer out loud in faith and the Holy Spirit will make you one of God’s children today and this will give you access to all the blessings of God including His help.
Father in Heaven,
I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your word says in John 6:37 that you will not cast me out when I come to you. So I thank you that you will take me in.
You also said in Romans 10:9-10 that if I shall confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in my heart that you raised him from the dead, I shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God. I believe that he died for my sin on Calvary’s Cross and was raised from the dead for my justification and I confess him now as my Saviour and Lord.
I believe that I have now become your righteousness in Christ whom you made to be sin for me on Calvary’s Cross.
Thank you father that I am saved from this day in Jesus’s name!
