Welcome to the month of January 2020: Our Month of New Things

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2Cor.1:17-18
As a new year begins, one general Characteristic of the New Year is the decision of many to make a resolution of what they would do differently this year to be better than they used to be. Many would desire and decide to quit bad habits like smoking, drinking etc. Sadly, many decisions do not survive the first week before they fail because it is not in the power of man to live better by himself. If your case is like this, I have good news for you because the only person who can help us live differently is God. He has accomplished this by the solution He has graciously provided for us on the Cross of Calvary with His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.
In the book of Jn.3:14 we are taught that as Moses lifted up the Serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Eventually, Christ was lifted up on the Cross with the most shameful kind of death as a type of the lifting up of the serpent of Moses to remove the venom of sin from the souls of men. Thus at this time, we are reminded again of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary as the ultimate solution to the problem many have been trying to solve with New Year resolutions to no avail.
The sin nature of man is the reason for all the human weaknesses he is trying to solve by resolutions to no avail. The scriptures let us know that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away and all things have become new and that these new things are of God who was reconciling us to God in Christ Jesus and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. By this, we can also tell others to be reconciled to God. Thus this month we shall be looking at the theme: Understanding the New Creation man. [2Cor.5:17-18; 1Pet.1:23; Jn.3:3-7 and 1Cor.6:17] This is because, it is required for man to get born again before he can change from his old life of sin to live a life that honours God. God’s kingdom on earth has to be occupied by people who have embraced and are living witnesses of the culture of God’s kingdom. His culture is clearly taught by the scriptures which are a compilation of the revealed word of God shown to holy men by the Holy Spirit. These words are so powerful that receiving them has the power to change the recipient from the mentality of the kingdom of darkness into the mentality of the kingdom of light. If it is the word of God, it carries life transforming power. This is what differentiates the New Creation from the world.
In summation here, let us understand that at new birth, only the spirit of man is saved; the soul and body remains the same. It is the life transforming power of the word; that, when applied often to the new creation man; helps him to be transformed in the soul into the reality of God’s kingdom citizenship. This reality is shown in his conduct as he is able to lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness as he receives the engrafted word of God for the transformation of his soul. See James 1:21; Rm.12:1-2; Jos.1:8 and Ps.1:1-3. When the soul is transformed, the person will bear the fruit of the Spirit. This will result in the transformation of the general conduct of the person from darkness to light. See Mat.7:15-20; Jn.1:4-5 and Gal.5:22-23. It is the bearing of the fruit of the Spirit that sets the believer in Christ apart from others. It is this new life that the entire world yearns for but they do not know how to get it because, like Nicodemus, they cannot comprehend the new birth experience.
If you want this new life, you can start to live it now by saying the following prayer in faith and then get baptized and begin to open up yourself to the word of God daily for the transformation of your soul:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

WELCOME TO THE YEAR 2020: OUR YEAR OF DIVINE APPOINTMENT!!!

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me ...
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Isa.61:1-3
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
To everyone who is reading this message, I want to tell you a big happy New Year and congratulations as we celebrate another opportunity that God has given to us in time to be able to fulfill His purpose for our existence. Every time we have to live in this realm of time is another opportunity extended to us by God to fulfill His purpose for our lives. I enter into this New Year with a heart filled with gratitude to the Lord for all His tender loving care over our lives especially His unspeakable gift of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
As our theme for the year suggests, it is going to be a year of much labour to see the work of God flourish in our lives and in our environment. It is a year when we will learn more of how to lean on the Lord to enable us carry out the work He has ordained us to do from the foundation of the world. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordained that we should walk in. Every one of us have a unique assignment from God for which we were uniquely designed. Before the foundation of the world was laid by God, He already had a plan drawn out and factored us into with the aim of each one of us finding fulfilment in our respective areas. This explains His wisdom in our diversity. As a matter of fact, you cannot truly know your own place without being godly and contented. Thus this year, for as many as would determine to know their individual place and occupy it, would occupy till He comes. Lk.19:13. This text of scripture paints a picture of us as an occupation force of the Lord left behind after His victory at Calvary to occupy this earth as a colony of Heaven pending His return to reign on the earth as He originally intended. In this case, we are responsible for influencing the souls of men to embrace the culture of heaven on earth so that the earth will be filled with people prepared to reign with him in the earth for the rest of time and eventually in eternity.
Thus the reason we were left to continue living in time after we got born again is to raise and nurture a people with the culture of the Kingdom of heaven living on earth separate from the world in the way we think and live. Romans 12:2 clarifies God’s heart concerning our lifestyles this way: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Thus all the power, wealth of wisdom and any other means that the Lord makes available to us is aimed at helping us to accomplish this objective of God. To raise a people with the mindset of the kingdom of God who will go to every length within the ambit of God’s influence to raise and preserve a people prepared for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. These are the kind of people the Bible describes in Joel 2. It would take the glory of God to raise and preserve such a people. This is why, for the past few years, a lot of shaking has been taking place on earth to separate the wheat from the tares in this world so that God’s people can come out from among the wicked of the earth. The battle has been one between light and darkness so that the Lord can separate his bride from the world and return for His true Church. His church is not an organization but a body of people bound together as lively stones making up a spiritual house fit for the presence of the Holy Spirit and ready to carry the ark of the glory of God for the next move of God that He intends to sustain until He returns.
In light of the foregoing, this year of divine appointment would see many people living for themselves quit doing so and begin to live for the glory of God and cultivating more and more intimacy with the Holy Spirit until the world begins to react to the light through a mass awakening to God followed by persecution until the final harvest. Let us make up our minds as to which side we choose to belong. As for me and my house, we shall serve the interest of the Kingdom of God.
Someone may be reading this blog today and is weary of all the catastrophic events that has been happening on earth lately until now but because you are yet to make the most important decision of your life in asking Jesus Christ to come and reign in you, you seem to have been at what looks like a cross road in life until now. Now that you are clear about what is going on, you wish to be on the right side of destiny by inviting Jesus Christ into your life as your Saviour and Lord. You can do so right away by saying the following prayer out loud in faith and you will be born again and begin your journey of faith with the Holy Spirit by saying the following prayer and getting baptized at the next opportunity:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Message for New Year’s Eve December 31st 2019

Tonight as the Lord in his infinite mercy draws the curtain of the year to a closure, we are gathered in His presence with one major theme on all our minds – the theme of gratitude. We were privileged of Him to see the beginning of this year and in spite of all that happened with, in and around us, we are still here. We can still be thankful and appreciate all the good things He has done for us this year until now.
This year, some of us have asked the rhetorical question when in adversity several times: why me? However, if we count our blessings and name them one by one, we cannot deny that God has indeed been faithful. For instance, in spite of the fierce battle that has been raging between light and darkness; we are not casualties and did not fall away. So many started this year with us and did not make it to this day. We did not have to say why did we survive? We are rather grateful for the good hand of the Lord upon us and His magnanimity of giving us the ability to dream again even when our previous dreams were challenged.
As I waited on the Lord for this program, He opened my understanding to see that anyone who was sensitive to His program for His Church this year would have known that; for many who have laboured with Him for a long while now; it was a year to fellowship with Him in His suffering. Philippians 3:10 comes to mind to remind us that we would better understand the Lord when we have known the fellowship of His suffering as indicated by Apostle Paul thus:
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.” See Philippians 3:10-11
From my experience this year I can boldly say that your knowledge of the Lord is grossly restricted if you are yet to know the fellowship of His suffering. Apostle Paul sought to know the fellowship of his suffering with the understanding that he would have to become one with the Lord indeed in his death with a passion to attain to the resurrection of the dead as his focus. He found it every day of his life to the point he declared that he died daily. See 1Cor.15:31. I believe the Lord used this year to condition us for His glory that shall soon be revealed to the world to separate his elect from others. You cannot truly become a partaker of his Holiness without first becoming one with Him in His suffering. If you have been with the Lord, it will show in your speech and your general disposition to life. You will have to have submitted to Him in such a way that the fruit you are bearing for him will attract His attention enough for Him to prune you. Believe me; without being pruned by the Father, you cannot partake of His Holiness. It is only when you have been pruned that you can be qualified to handle His glory without corrupting it. You could be tempted to become bitter if you do not handle his chastening with meekness. Bitterness can result in defiling one’s self and others. See Jn.15:1-5 and Heb.12:6-16.
I am glad to let you know that in the midst of my trials, the Lord gave me the word of the year in the Month of August. As at that time my circumstances were speaking a different thing when the Lord told me that 2020 shall be our year of divine Appointment. We are to appoint unto those who morn in Zion, beauty for ashes; the oil of joy for the spirit of heaviness etc. all by the help of the Holy Spirit whom He will cause to rest mightily upon us. More would be said on this in the word for 2020.
As we count down to next year, I wish to let us all know that we must be grateful to God for giving us more time to fulfill our destinies and in good health with divine provision and protection. Amen.
