Our Month of The Ingathering

Welcome to the month of December 2019:
“Thou shalt keep the feast of … Ingathering which is at the end of the year when thou hast gathered in they labours out of the field. Exod.23:15-16; 34:22;
Gen 8:22  While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting Gal.6:7-8 and Mk.4:26-29
Divine favour greetings family, I welcome you to this last month of the year with these glad tidings that it is harvest time because the Lord has graciously named this month for us as our Month of the Ingathering. He gave me this word from Genesis 8:22 and all the other texts above. A closer look at the texts would reveal to us the following principles.
First the covenant God entered into above with Noah and Moses and the children of Israel binds God to fulfilling the word as He promised. For this reason, as long as the earth remains, we shall always be sowing and reaping. In Genesis, He calls it seed time and harvest. In Exodus, He calls the harvest ingathering.  When the Lord came, He gave the parable of sowing and reaping as describing the kingdom of God. Apostle Paul in one of his epistles to the Church in Galatia also shows us that God has ratified this covenant in the New Testament.
In light of this, we can place our confidence in these truths because the Lord said even though heaven and earth shall pass away, His word abides forever. See Mt.24:35; Mk.13:31 and Lk.21:33. Thus this promise is also made to us in the New Testament because the Lord ratifies them in His earthly ministry as the Son of Man and caused his servant Apostle Paul to ratify it on His behalf in the epistles. See Gal.6:6-10 and 2Cor.9:6-10.
We all know that God cannot lie [Titus 1:2] therefore, He will perform His word in our lives to the extent of the condition we meet. Therefore in this month of the Ingathering, let us look back at this closing year and take stock of all the seeds we have sown and be encouraged that God who causes the seeds sown to grow will bless us with a bountiful harvest of all the good seeds we have sown. This is another opportunity to also take stock of all the wrong seeds we have sown and consciously and humbly repent of them so as to truncate their harvest.
In light of the foregoing, this month we shall be looking at the theme titled: Understanding the law of Seed time and harvest.  The law simply put is that as long as there is earth, we would reap what we sow. To the Prophet Jeremiah, God made it clear that while His covenant with the day and night remains, His covenant with King David and the Levites would be valid and subsisting.
Secondly, there are many kinds of seeds that can be sown in time. Where you have seeds you must also have the soil to sow into. For instance, there is first the seed of our lives [what we do with it]. It is sown into the soil of time. There is the seed of time; it is sown into the soil of our affections. This is why Apostle Paul enjoins the Church in Colossians 3: 1-2 to set their affection on things above and not on earthly things.  There is the seed of character; this is sown into your relationships. There is the seed of attitude; this is sown into either your flesh or your spirit. There is the seed of the word of God which we sow into the hearts of men [Lk.8:11]. There is the seed of money sown into giving and receiving. There is the seed of prayer which is sown into your time. We can go on and on in this.
Thirdly, how we sow also matters. You either sow bountifully or sparingly. Anyhow you sow is how you will reap. See 2Cor.9:6
Fourthly, your motive for sowing matters so that God can bless you as He pleases and the result of your sowing would bring you some eternal benefits. God is the only one that can test the hearts of men. Any time you sow, God looks at your heart to see your motive and then your manner of giving and the content of your giving and orders your harvest accordingly.
Finally what and who you sow into matters. This is where giving with intentionality counts. The soil of people you sow into should not be wasters so that you can reap a bountiful harvest. Whereas every seed sown would bring harvest to you by God; be careful to protect your seed from the proverbial birds of the air that come to waste your seeds so that you cannot reap a bountiful harvest from God. In the parable of the sower, those seed sown into good soils received thirty, sixty and a hundred fold. You want a hundred fold; then sow into good hearts. It is only the Holy Spirit that can help us do this. See Rm.8:14; Mt.13:3-4, 8-9 and Lk.8:5, 8-11.
In this month of the ingathering therefore, let us take time to participate in our twelve days covenant to see the harvest of the good seeds we have sown all through the year and preceding years that are due for harvest.
Meanwhile, someone may be reading this blog that is yet to open their hearts to the Lord for the good seed of the word to be sown into it. If you are that person and desire to know the Lord today, you can do so right away and the Holy Spirit will come to dwell in your heart from this day. Please say the following prayer out loud in faith and become a member of the family of God through the Lord Jesus Christ:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan plus his unfruitful works of darkness and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Welcome to the month of November 2019: Our Month of Divine Rest

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.” Heb.4:9-10

Divine favour greetings family! I welcome you to the month of November 2019 which the Lord has graciously declared to us to be our month of Divine rest. Divine means that which originates from God. Therefore this month, we shall enter into the rest God has ordained for us from the foundation of the world.
Several years ago, I heard the Lord say to me: “Labour not to be rich.” I sought to understand what he was saying so I searched the Scriptures for it. Then I came to this text in Proverbs which reads thus: “Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom” Prov.23:4. I got to understand from that text and more that we should not allow the motivation of earthly riches be our reason for working. This I believe is what makes the word for the month so meaningful to me. When we run in pursuit of the riches of this world, we would wear out ourselves for nothing. At the end of the day we would find that all we have acquired is vain compared to what God wants for us.
This month therefore, we have been told by God what to labour for. If we take the time to look at the entire Hebrews Chapter 4, verse 11 tells us to labour to enter into His rest. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. The rest referred to here is the rest of faith. This is a state where we will live our lives trusting in the Lord for everything. No matter how much possessions God has given to us, we should live our lives trusting in the Lord for everything. The riches of this world are fleeting; Proverbs 23:5 makes us understand that they develop wings and fly away. This is the reason the Lord said that there are the unrighteous mammon and true riches. Our labour is meant to be for the true riches of God. Sadly, what is mostly celebrated today is the unrighteous mammon.
One day, I was talking with a Pastor who was working as an employee of a very big Church. He was excited that he was posted to a big branch of the Church but felt cheated when he was schemed out of that branch by another Pastor. His friend was angrily speaking against what they saw as injustice. I was surprised by their behaviour. I asked them why they thought the bigger branch was better. Long story short, it was about the fame and access to big gifts he potentially stood to benefit. I asked them whether it was about the glamour or the perfect will of God for the Pastor’s life.
Hear what the Lord says in Lk.16:11 “If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?” the question therefore is how do we overcome labouring for the mundane? We do so by faith. That is why the bible says we who believe enter into His rest. Thus it is by faith we enter His rest. The Lord Jesus Christ tells us how in John 5:30 He said here that he can of himself do nothing that he takes instructions from the father. This means that the chief labour we have to labour is to do whatever it takes to hear the father’s instruction.
In light of the foregoing, this month, we shall be learning what it takes to enter the rest of God. John 5:19-20 – in seeking to please the Lord, we can count on Him to instruct us all the way and as we hear, we are to take instructions and do what He says. This is the place of true faith; resting in obedience to divine instructions. This month would therefore mark the end of all our strivings to do God’s will in our strength. None of us shall labour in vain anymore. In addition, we shall seek to pursue God more for the relationship with Him rather than what advantage we seek to have from Him.
Someone may be reading this blog who has been seeking answers as to what life was all about and seem to be getting nowhere. I have good news for you; get born again and your life would be set on the course to know the true meaning of life God’s way!  If you want to take advantage of this opportunity, you can start right away by saying the following prayers out loud in faith and you will be born again:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan plus his unfruitful works of darkness and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Welcome to the month of October 2019: Our Month of Praise

“Rejoice in the Lord, o ye righteous: for praise is comely to the upright” … Ps.33:1
Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.” Ps.147:1
Divine favour greetings family; welcome to October our month of praise. As the year hastens to the end, one is left in wonder of how fast the year has run as though time is in a hurry to quit existing. The period of gestation is nine months at the end of which time, a baby is welcomed into the world. It is undeniable that God has been doing a great work of birthing some new life in us for this period of nine months that the year has ran swiftly. As I sought the Lord on what to write for this month, He gave me the scripture about praise being comely for the upright.
As we look back on this year, there are so many things God has done for us as individuals, families and a ministry that we must not only be thankful for; we need to praise God for. This scripture in essence means that praise looks good on us. I believe in this month of Praise, God is set to beautify our lives as we lift up praise to Him. We cannot pay Him for all He has done for; and been to us. We can only express our appreciation by lifting up praise to him. I am grateful that the idea to praise him is His. Thus every time we spend praising the Lord this month, we can see ourselves in obedience because that is His desire for our lives. In addition, we would be manifesting this thought that praise looks good on us. Do not forget that last month, as the dew of heaven brought the blessing, the earth responded with the delivery of God’s blessing on our lives. For that and every other blessing of the year, we are to return gratitude to God and release ourselves to praise Him. In all our services this, month, we shall be dedicating some time to praising the Lord because He has been so good to us. In addition, in our studies, we shall be learning about praising God and why it is important to God for us to praise Him.
In Ps.67:5-6, we learn that when the earth praises the Lord, God will cause her to yield her increase. I believe that as we separate ourselves to praising God this month, it would reflect in the increase of all that touches and concerns us. It would show in the work of our hands and the increase of the fruit of our labours.
Therefore, complaining should be put far from us this month. Instead, we should cultivate a thanksgiving and praise habit. Our prayer sessions should be laden with praise for all of the wonders of God in our lives and families. God has done more good than the devil has done us evil. The enemy brought sickness but God healed us. The enemy brought problems, but God gave us solutions. Through all our tests and trials, we have come out as better people because what the enemy thought for evil, God has turned around for our good. Indeed, praise is comely on the upright.
Someone reading this blog may be thinking; they are not upright, can they also praise? My answer to you is; you are the one God is looking for to praise him because He came to seek and to save you. As soon as you take advantage of His offer of salvation, you can immediately start praising Him and the beauty of your life will begin to speak as well. If you are that person, you can start right away by saying the following prayer out loud in faith and you will become His righteousness in Christ Jesus:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan plus his unfruitful works of darkness and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Welcome to the month of September 2019: Our Month of The Dew of Heaven

“Therefore, God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:” Gen.27:28
Divine favour greetings family, I welcome you to the month of September which God has graciously called for us our month of the Dew of Heaven. When the founding fathers of the faith were blessing their descendants to transfer the blessing, the dew of heaven is commonly employed. Moses also used it in blessing the offspring of Joseph in Deu.33:13.
When Esau lost his blessing in Gen.27:39, the father used this blessing to command a restoration on him when he said to him: … “Thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth and the dew of heaven from above.”
The dew of heaven speaks of the truth that when God commands his blessing from above, the earth is authorized to perform the manifestation. With this command this month, everything that was lost to any of us has been fully restored by the Lord with the full assurance that we shall no longer suffer losses. Prior to when God first sent rain, it is dew that was used to water the earth to prepare it for vegetation. This season, as we anticipate the return of the Lord, He is sending us his dew to prepare our hearts with His word of truth that would keep us connected to what He has for us pending His soon return.
As the events in time escalates in the heat of the warfare preceding his return, we are instructed to look up for our salvation is nearer now than when we first began. See Lk.21:28. Also, the Lord tells us that as we see the beginning of the birth pangs of our redemption, we should not be afraid. See Mt.24:6 and Mar.13:7.
This month therefore, we shall be looking at truths that make free from the word of God. We are taught in Jn.8:31-32 that we shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free. If any truth you receive comes from God, it would definitely make you free. We are thus made free from every bondage and captivity we found ourselves from believing the wrong things prior.
As the dew of heaven falls on us this month, the truth you need to know in any area of your life that will bring you the desire of God for your life would be delivered to you in Jesus’ name.
If you are reading this blog and wonder what I am talking about; it means you need to connect with the truth Himself. His name is Jesus Christ. He said in Jn.14:6 that He is the way, the truth and the life and the only access to the father. He is also called the word of God and the word of God is truth. See Jn.1:1; 17:17. If you want, you can connect with him at once by saying the following prayer and getting baptized:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan plus his unfruitful works of darkness and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.
