Understanding Pride as an enemy of visions and dreams Pt.2

Messages for August 2016: Our Month of Dreams and Visions
Message for Wednesday the 17th of August 2016
Theme: Understanding Dream and Visions in relation to God’s plan – Joel 2:28; Jer.29:11; Acts 2:16-17; Acts 10; Matthew 1:18-25; Lk.1; Jn.5:39; Matt.4:10 & Rev.19:10
Topic: Understanding Pride as an enemy of visions and dreams Pt.2
Introduction: Last week, we began to look at what pride is and we saw an objective view of pride. Today, we shall continue by beginning to look at the dangers of pride with the intention of getting us to understand that pride is not an attitude any true believer should take lightly.
The dangers of walking in Pride:
It sets one up for a fall – A good example of someone who was destroyed by his pride is Pharaoh. See his example in Ex.14; Prov.16:18 and Prov.29:23
It robs one of the graces of God which are required for both receiving visions and dreams from God to fulfill destiny. God will resist the proud whereas He would guide the meek in judgement. In other words, He would not give the person grace to make the right choices so that that person’s fall would be inevitable. See Jas.4:6; 1Pet.5:5; Ps.25:9 and Prov.11:4 GNB.
It truncates destiny – To truncate is to abort. Every believer is destined for an enviable destiny but to actualize it, they need grace. Grace is divine favour and divine ability. Grace is not made available to the proud and if he does not humble himself within the time allocated to him for repentance by God, he would lose grace and come into disgrace which is the truncation of destiny. This is what happened to Saul in 1Sam.15 and Absalom in 2Sam.18:9.
It blinds its victim to the truth. All that the victim can see are the good qualities in his or her life like beauty, position and possession that fueled the pride because of his or her inability to manage them.  They blind the person and he cannot see the destruction looming behind his pride. See the case of Haman in the book of Esther; and Ezek.28:1-10 and Rev.3:14-22.
It promotes self-service to the detriment of one’s fulfillment. Fulfillment can only come on the platform of worship of God and not any other. When we place ourselves first, it is idolatry and we are to worship the lord our God and serve him only. A major curse idolatry places on a person is pride which is the highway to disgrace. See Mt.4:8-11 and 1Jn.2:15-17.
It leads to loss of vision and divine guidance. When a person is proud, it shows up in their casting off restraints of any kind when they want to do something. When this happens, they would be clearly demonstrating a loss of vision because vision promotes the discipline required for its fulfillment. Where no vision is, the people perish. Prov.29:18; Ps.32:8-9 and Ps.25:9.
It leads to barrenness. Pride is a trait of carnality and as a result the proud cannot bear fruit unto God which means he would be barren. This would therefore mean failure in service delivery and the result is that the Gardener would cut the person off. See Jn.15:1-5; Rm.8:5-9; 2Pet.1:1-10 and Gal.5:16-17.
It is the door way to a fall from grace. This was the case of Adam and Eve. They yielded to the temptation to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil when she saw that the tree was desirous to make one wise. This was the origin of the pride of life among humans. See Gen.3:6 and Prov.11:4GNB.
Eternal loss in the lake of fire and brim stone eventually: see Prov.16:5 and Rev.20:10-15.
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.

The Nature of Dreams and visions

Messages for August 2016: Our Month of Dreams and Visions
Message for Sunday the 14th of August 2016
Theme: Understanding Dream and Visions in relation to God’s plan – Joel 2:28; Jer.29:11; Acts 2:16-17; Acts 10; Matthew 1:18-25; Lk.1; Jn.5:39; Matt.4:10 & Rev.19:10
Topic:  The Nature of Dreams and visions
Introduction: Last week, we established that Dreams and visions are the means by which God communicates His plans and purpose for us in His master plan. Today, we shall continue this series by looking at the nature of dreams and vision. This understanding will enable us identify dreams and visions from God as soon as we encounter them.
The nature of a thing is the essential qualities and attributes that make it what it is. For instance fire must burn because it is its nature to burn. In the same way, the following observations can be made about dreams and visions:
God ordained visions and dreams aim mainly at bearing fruit for God because this is the main purpose of man. Gen.1:26; Jn.15:2, 8 and16 and Rom.7:4
They place you above the devil and his cohorts because it confers divine authority on you to dominate your enemies – Ex.7:1; Eph.2:6; Ps.66:3 and 1Jn.4:4
They would always overcome the world. see 1Jn.5:4 and 2Cor.2:14
They place a demand of Godliness and contentment on you – 1Tim.6:10 and Titus 2:11-12.
They enable you to constantly overcome carnality. When you embrace visions and dreams from God, they help you walk in the Spirit always which is the main antidote to carnality – Gal.5:16
They glorify God – We bring glory to God by bearing much fruit and the trigger for fruit bearing are visions and dreams. When God gives dreams and visions, it is because he desires for the dreamer to bear much fruit to glorify Him. See Jn.15:8 and Dan.2:46-47 – the fruit Daniel bore here was the solution he provided the king in telling him his dream and interpretation and the result was that the king glorified God.
Their central theme is usually to win others to the Lord. This is the reason the Lord Jesus Christ came down from heaven to die for our sins so we could regain the lost kingdom of God from Satan to serve the living God in spirit and in truth. Jn.3:16; Matthew 28:18-18 and Acts 16:17-21.
They help to fulfill divine purpose – Heb.10:5-7; 1Jn.3:8 and 1Cor.15:3-8.
They protect us from untimely death arising from self-destruction or any other means. See Job 33:14-18; Mt.2: 13-21 and Dan.2:17-19.
We shall stop here for today. Next week, we shall continue in this series looking at the place of dreams and visions in destiny. Meanwhile, no one can actually enter into their place of destiny without an initiation into the family of God through the new birth experience. Should you wish to do so, please say the following prayer out loud and God shall put you in His family at once and you can start to enjoy the benefit of divine revelation taking you from where you are to where you ought to be:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Understanding Pride as an enemy of visions and dreams Pt.1

Messages for August 2016: Our Month of Dreams and Visions
Message for Wednesday the 10th of August 2016
Theme: Understanding Dream and Visions in relation to God’s plan – Joel 2:28; Jer.29:11; Acts 2:16-17; Acts 10; Matthew 1:18-25; Lk.1; Jn.5:39; Matt.4:10 & Rev.19:10
Topic: Understanding Pride as an enemy of visions and dreams Pt.1
Introduction: This month, God is set to help us fulfill our destinies by giving us visions and dreams that would both give us a compass for our lives and guide us through our entire destiny journey.
However, there is one chief enemy of our souls that could not only hinder but truncate the entire destiny of a person and that enemy is called pride. Contrary to what many think, pride is not a spirit. It is an attitude. This was the attitude that caused Lucifer to crash. The oldest evil spirit we know of is Satan and therefore pride which was demonstrated before the fall of Lucifer could not have been an evil spirit. See Isa.14:12-15 and Ez.28:11-17.
Pride is a common factor as it can tilt in the negative or in the positive direction depending on the use to which it is put. When pride is adversely used, it could be very devastating. For our purpose, however, we shall be looking at pride negatively used.
What Pride is:
Pride is defined by “The New Lexicon Webster’s Dictionary of the English Language as an excessive self-esteem or a behavior that shows excessive self-esteem.
Pride is an attitude; it is a predisposition by the proud to respond negatively to people born out of an over bloated view of one’s self. This definition however is too restrictive as it concentrates on negative pride.
When we view pride as self-esteem, it would convey a broader definition of the word. Normal self-esteem is healthy. It is the type Jesus was referring to when He told us to love our neighbours as ourselves. So we are expected to love ourselves. This is a balanced self-esteem. See Mk.12:31; Gal.5:14 and Jas.2:8.
Another word used for pride is ego. Ego means feeling of self-esteem and personal worth. It is being conscious of your own identity. This is balanced when it does not refer to an inflated feeling of pride in one’s superiority to others. It is the latter case we are concerned with for our purpose.
An objective view of Pride:
Pride is an unjustifiable feeling of self-importance. Why I say this feeling is unjustifiable is that no matter what fuels the pride, we must understand that there is nothing we have and there is nowhere we have attained to that was not a product of God’s mercy. So there is really no need for this feeling. See the example of Haman’s fall in the book of Esther; Lk.14:8-11 and Lk.20:46.
Secondly, pride is a mindset that seeks to exalt personal interest over and above the general good and this explains why proud people are the most selfish people. Proud people cannot obey the number one law of discipleship which is self-denial to exalt the will of God. Luk.9:23-24 and Phi.2:5-11.
Thirdly, pride is an inclination to act in a manner that always tries to promote self over and above others with a view to setting one’s beliefs and life style as the standard instead of Christ. This makes them very unproductive because they cannot make sacrifices. Jn.12:24 and 15:5.
Fourthly, a proud person will always respond negatively to situations to the extent that people would always want to avoid them if they can help it. See Jn.12:24 and Mk.10:35-45.
Fifth, Proud people compare themselves with others making themselves look better than others. The bible says such comparison is not wise. See 2Cor.10:12 and Lk.18:10-14.
Sixth, proud people cannot make it in leadership until they overcome the pride. Mar.9:35; 10:44.
However it is expressed, pride is a problem that demands quick solution before it destroys its victim. We will stop so far today. More would be said on this next week. Meanwhile, the beginning of victory over pride is the new birth experience because pride is a nature inherited from the devil by fallen man. Therefore, he has no power over it until he makes a decision to embrace eternal life in Christ Jesus that grants us access to the life of Christ which is marked with humility.
You may be reading this now and desire this new life; you can embrace it right away by saying the following prayer out loud and you will be saved:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. What and why are Dreams and Visions

Messages for August 2016: Our Month of Dreams and Visions
Message for Sunday the 7th of August 2016
Theme: Understanding Dream and Visions in relation to God’s plan – Joel 2:28; Jer.29:11; Acts 2:16-17; Acts 10; Matthew 1:18-25; Lk.1; Jn.5:39; Matt.4:10 & Rev.19:10
Topic:  What and why are Dreams and Visions
Introduction: God has a grand plan for His Church; much more, He has a grand plan for each member of His body. In Jeremiah 29:11, He discloses this truth and from that scripture, we understand that God is only obligated to fulfil His plan for our lives. Visions and dreams are one of the means by which He discloses His plan to us. This is why this month; we are looking at this series of dreams and visions in relation to God’s overall plan. God’s desire is that we fit into His program on earth and this is made possible by running in His purpose for our lives.
What are dreams and visions? Vision has been defined by several people as follows:
1.     Dr. David Oyedepo defines vision as “…the pathfinding tool in the hand of the believer. It is the unfolding of divine plan as it relates to an individual. It is the supernatural insight into one’s placement in life that provides the individual access into God’s plan for their destiny.” He said it therefore takes vision to find one’s correct place in God’s master plan.
2.     Dr. Myles Munroe of blessed memory defines vision as the ability to see farther than your eyes can look.
3.     I define vision as when God speaks to someone by a picture to unfold one’s purpose to one. Our purpose has been with God before He made us but we only become aware of them by discovery through visions and dreams painted in the canvas of our hearts by the Holy Spirit. See Hab.2:1-3 – They are therefore images planted in our hearts showing our individual place in God’s big picture.
4.     Vision is the implantation of divine ideas in one’s heart for the fulfillment of our individual destinies. Where there is no vision, destiny is aborted and the victim of a lack of divine vision perishes; they do not get to take their place and fulfill their purpose in God’s grand plan. Prov.29:18
The most important vision: The most important vision is God’s vision. Every other vision is relevant to the extent it draws from God’s big vision or idea. Every other vision apart from God’s vision is irrelevant no matter how successful the person becomes by human standards. See Ps.127:1 and Jn.15:5.
Why visions and Dreams?
1.     They are the means by which God reveals Himself to us. Ex.3:1-6 and Rev.1:10-19.
2.     They are the means by which God reveals his word to us. See Deu.29:29 and 2Pet.1:21.
3.     They are the means by which God reveals his plans to us – Acts 9:1-16 and Gen.37:5-10.
4.     They show us our individual roles in God’s master plan and how to actualize them. Jer.1:4-5 and Ez.3:17-19
5.     They are a means by which God reveals the events of the spirit realm to us for our benefits. Dan.2 and Rev.1-4.
6.     They also serve the purpose of divine guidance to enable us fulfill our destinies. See Job 33:14-18 and Acts 16:6-10
We shall stop here for today. Next week, we shall continue in this series looking at the nature of dreams and visions.

Enemies of a Glorious destiny

Messages for July 2016: Our Month of Destiny
Message for Sunday the 31st of July 2016
Theme: UNDERSTANDING HOW TO FULFILL YOUR DESTINY
Topic:  Enemies of a Glorious destiny 1Cor.16:9 and Gen.49:3-4
Introduction: From our sturdies so far, we have seen that God’s desire for us is that each of us would attain to a glorious destiny [Jer.29:11]. This is why when He instructed Moses to tell the children of Israel to make a destiny choice in Deu.30:19, he suggested that they make a choice for life. In other words, they were told to choose to walk in the ways of God. However, it is evident all around us that fewer and fewer people attain this goal of God for man as the days of time draw nearer to the end. Why is this so? The reasons are not far-fetched; there are many enemies contending for our glorious destinies. These enemies are masterminded by our archenemy; the devil. Sadly, many are oblivious of these enemies as they are even instrumental in hosting some of them. What are these enemies to our glorious destinies and how can we overcome them?
1.     Ignorance of the following:
The redemption message – many people are not aware of the redemption message which Jesus came to preach and fulfill. Their minds are still blinded by the lies of the devil; so even when we preach to them, they do not see it. [2Cor.4:3-4] The only way to help people like these is to stand in the gap and be intercessors for them to see them saved. Every believer in Christ has a responsibility to deliver their immediate and extended family to Christ and the best way to do this is to intercede for them and model the love of God to them while trusting the Lord to send them any harvester of his choice to whom they would listen and be saved. See Ezek.22:30; Acts 16:31 and 1Pet.3:1-2.
The truth that liberates: The bulk of crisis among those who are saved today is borne out of ignorance of the truth. The word of God is the truth. John 17:17 Jesus Christ instructed some disciples to remain consistent in learning His ways or word and that the more consistent they are in following His word, the more of the truth would be revealed to them and with the revelations they receive, their freedom would be actualized. See John 8:31-32 and John 1:1-5. When people are set free, then the best of them would be revealed. To overcome ignorance of the truth, we must cultivate a desire for the truth and be ready to always meet its demands. See 1Pet.2:2 and 1Tim.4:13-16.
Our purpose: Like we have been discussing in this series, destiny is the pursuit of our purpose. Therefore, we cannot even begin the journey of destiny without a revelation of our purpose. When we are ignorant of our purpose, our lives will be easily abused by us and others. The result is that we would be unable to fulfill our glorious destiny. See the example of Saul who later became Paul in Acts 9. The first thing he asked the Lord when He first met him was what He would have him do. This was a purpose question. As soon as he knew his purpose, he began to run in it immediately meeting all the demands of it. See 1Cor.9:24-27.
To overcome this, we must seek God with all our hearts in prayer and fasting if necessary to reveal our individual purpose to us in God’s big picture so that we can run on an accurate course in destiny. See Hab.2:1-3 and Mt.7:7-8.
How to be led by the Holy Spirit: Being led by the Holy Spirit is an art we must cultivate because no one is born into this world saved with all the character traits of a new creation. On the contrary, we were used to living as sinners and doing all the dictates of the human nature which always conflicts with divine nature. See Rm.8:5-9; 1Cor.2:14 and Gal.5:17. For us to be able to fulfill our glorious destinies therefore, we must learn to be led by the Holy Spirit to take the right steps in life in that direction. If this is not done, we would remain ignorant of how to accurately run on our individual destiny courses. This is not where anyone wants to be because we would certainly not fulfill our destinies by guess work. To overcome this ignorance therefore, we have to learn the truth of divine guidance from the word and confirm it with the message of those who have learnt to run in theirs with proofs. See 2Tim.2:2 and Jer.6:16-19.
2.     Fear of the following:
The unknown: The revelation of the divine purpose of anyone to them enables them to commence the race on the destiny lane. However, many people do not attain to their destination in destiny because of the fear of the unknown or unfamiliar territories. Whenever God reveals a man’s purpose to him or her, it places a demand of action on the person and that action could mean going to unfamiliar territories. When this is the case, some people fear to take a step because they are not sure of the outcome. To overcome this fear, we must understand that faith always goes with an element of uncertainty because it is the evidence of things hoped for and the substance of things not seen. This explains why Abraham took action when he was called to go to a land that would later become his even though he did not know where he was going. See Heb.11:8 and also understand that faith is not based on what we see but what we do not see. This is why Abraham refused to consider the physical circumstance of his and Sarah’s bareness and became a father through his barren wife of 90 when he was a hundred years. Rm.4:1, 17-22.
Making mistakes: Some people are too self-conscious and self-respecting to take the journey of destiny. God is a God of seed time and harvest. Most of the time when he calls us, he strips us of all our ego in order for us to be able to fulfill His purpose. A rich man approached Jesus seeking eternal life but Jesus asked him to give up all he had and following him. He could not because from his story, it is evident that he had been very good at following the law to get to that point. For instance, he obeyed the law of prosperity and prospered. However, he was not conversant with the law of faith which is superior to all the laws. He must have reasoned that he would become an embarrassment if things did not work out and would lose his good name to all who knew him before. The result was that he went away sorrowful knowing he would never fulfill his destiny. Now this was a bad destiny choice and no wise person wants to make the same kind of choice. Do whatever He says. It is wisdom to do whatever He says to do and anyone who embraces wisdom would end up fulfilling their destinies. See Mk.10:17-22; Job 28:28 and Jn.2:5
The devil and his cohorts: Many people fail to fulfill their purpose because of the fear of the devil and his cohorts. They are afraid that the enemy will come after them should they take the destiny step God is asking them to because of devil consciousness. To overcome this fear, we must understand that God who called us is greater than all and none can pluck us from His hands. We must also know that the greater of the two powers operating in the universe is in us so we really have nothing to fear. Further, all power vests with our Lord Jesus Christ and none is left for the devil. Finally, if you find fear in your heart, you can cast it out because it is an evil spirit. God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. 1Jn.4:4; Mt.28:18-19; Jn.10:27-29 and 2Tim.1:6-7.
3.     Religion: Religion is man’s way of relating with God over and above God’s choice of how to relate with him. When people choose to worship God on their own terms, the best they get is religion which has proven to be the most destructive invention of man. The founder of religion Cain committed the first murder and up till date, religious folks are still murdering innocent people just as Cain murdered the innocent Abel and the religious leaders murdered the Lord. See Gen.4:3-11 and Mt.27:16-24.
4.     Deception: The bulk of people who would never fulfill their destinies are the deceived. All those who will not get saved will not get saved because they are deceived. The onset of the pursuit of a glorious destiny is salvation which comes by faith in Jesus Christ. All who crucified the Lord did so because they did not know what they were doing; in other words, they were deceived. See the murder of Stephen in Lk.23:34 and 2Cor.4:3-4.
5.     Wrong association: When people associate with those who do not care about fulfilling their destinies, they are associating with the enemies of their destinies as evil association corrupts good manners. Ps.1:1-3 and 1Cor.15:33.
6.     Carnality: This is a state of being where one chooses to walk in the flesh rather than walk in the spirit. It is a way of life that is essentially selfish. This is man choosing to live by the fallen human nature rather than live as a new creation. People who live like this would not even be interested in God’s plan for their lives. They would make their own plans and God is only obligated to fulfill His plans for us and not our plans for ourselves. See Jer.28:11. The result of this is death because such a person cannot enjoy the flow of the life of God into him or her and so he would suffer like the world. See Ps.82:5-7 and Rom.8:5-9. To overcome this evil, we have to make a choice to walk in the spirit and do it. When we do so, we would not fulfill the lusts of the flesh and we can fulfill our destinies. See Gal.5:16-17 and 1Cor.2:14.
As we conclude this series today, if you are convicted by the Holy Spirit that you have since been making bad choices, you can change that now. If you choose to do so, it starts only one way, you must first be born again and you can do so by saying the following prayer out loud in faith:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Welcome to the month of August 2016: Our Month of Visions and Dreams

Joel 2:28; Acts 2:16-17; Acts 9; Acts 10; Matthew 1:18-25; Lk.1; Jn.5:39; Matt.4:10 & Rev.19:10
As I consider the subject of visions and dreams, I cannot help remembering how this has helped to shape my life appropriately to enable me take my place in God’s big picture. I have discovered that many of the experiences people call dreams and visions are not really what they think it is because of a lack of understanding that has corrupted the entire human race due to the fall of man from the glory of God because of the inherited sin of Adam. In 1989, I received an invitation of the Lord to return to Him after eight years of backsliding. Then the journey of destiny began for me. I cannot say I have faithfully run on this course since that day, but I am grateful for all the many opportunities that God has graciously given to me. My major turning point came in 2010 when I heard the Lord say to me to come with Him to Ghana.
Since then, I have endeavored to follow His leading as much as possible as I have come to realize that God’s dreams for us cannot be actualized without his guidance. The result is that three and a half years, after obeying that call, God enabled me to plant a Church in Ghana without knowing anyone there and to broadcast the gospel in the entire ten regions of Ghana and fifteen Counties of Liberia through radio with a Church of a few people. I do not think we numbered more than forty people in Church attendance until I was called to move on from there. In addition, the Lord enabled me to write thirteen books; six of which are in hard prints out of which two are in audio format.
Furthermore, when I was leaving Ghana, I was enabled by God to leave behind a growing Church with a resident Pastor raised through the bible School we established and a Church hall and Parsonage God built for us with these few people helping out the best they could and the support of about nine family and friends from my home country.
Today six years later, God had taken us to four countries and had enabled us to purchase and develop our own real estate for His work in another two regions of Ghana and two states in Nigeria.
One of the most mind boggling experiences I have ever had came about when the Lord told me this year in March to go to Badagry and develop our property and build a Church hall and lodging place and fence the property in fifty two days without having money stacked up anywhere by the ministry or myself at this time. I promptly obeyed and called a friend who God told me would be able to help out with the training of Ministers. Lo and behold, in fifty two days, in spite of all the efforts of hell to stop us, the Church hall was built up and roofed and the lodging place was also built and roofed and our all Children Ministry now had a place of our own to meet. A week later, the Church was planted in spite of the unfinished state of the property. Interestingly, God opened the door to harvest as people have been coming and abiding in spite of the fact that we are merely using benches for now.
I have taken time to share my testimony to help us understand that we cannot doubt dreams and visions that God Himself confirms. We do not experience the hand of God so much because we are “too good of ourselves” to not flounder. As a matter of fact, that is far from true. We have seen the hand of God because of the dreams and visions He has graciously put in our hearts which obligates Him to help us because God is only obligated to do what He has called us to do. See 1Thess.5:24.
What then are dreams and visions?
Listening to Dr. Myles Munroe of Blessed memory one day, I head his say these: “A vision is the revelation of a preferred future.” He also defined it as the ability to see farther than our natural eyes can look.”
I want to add that dreams and visions are the implantation of God’s dream of our role in His big picture into our hearts. They help us to discover ourselves, our source, our purpose, and our individual potential and run successfully on the course of the glorious destiny that God has ordained for us from the foundation of the earth. By means of dreams and visions, God can also help us to receive understanding to strengthen us in the journey of destiny so that we can run to finishing strong. See Job 33:14-18; Prov.8:14 and Jn.15:11.
As Apostle Paul puts it, they help us to go up. In Gal.2:2, he said to the Church that he went up by revelation and communicated the gospel to those who were before Him. This was to ensure that He was right in his destiny race. The reason for this is that Paul needed to ensure that what He was running with gave Him a place in God’s big picture otherwise; he would be out of order and not qualified to be part of the army of the Lord described in Joel 1:1-8.
The eighth month usually provides us with an opportunity for a new beginning considering that it is the first of another seventh day. God’s numbering system of days starts with one and ends with seven [see Gen.1:1-5, 31 and Gen.2:1-3]. Therefore, every time we have to count after the seven, we are looking at a new beginning. In this new month, beginning another set of seven, God wants to provide everyone another opportunity to start to run on their destiny’s course. Another opportunity is also provided for those who have been running on their course to reevaluate and determine to what extent the race they are running fits into God’s big picture of His purpose for us all. Also, those who either had missed it or have not started to run their destiny course for lack of vision or are running but may have burnt out, are going to receive fresh fire from God’s throne of Grace to be able to know and fulfill their destinies.
To this end, this month, by the grace of God; we shall be looking at a series titled: UNDERSTANDING VISIONS AND DREAMS IN RELATION TO GOD’S PLAN. I believe that this month, many will receive new visions of their divine purpose and the supernatural energy to run in it to its logical conclusion.  For those already running on the right course of their destinies, God would take them up to greater heights by divine revelations. For many, this will be a month of turning point just like it happen for Jacob in Laban’s house when he received a dream from the Lord that turned his economic life right side up. See Gen. 31:6-13.
From the account of Jacob, we see that there was what he had to do to step up. There is also what anyone reading this today who does not know Jesus Christ as their personal savior and Lord has to do to get to the next level or start to run on destiny’s course. You must be born again to commence this journey. Should you wish to do so, please say the following prayer out loud in faith and you will be born again:
Heavenly Father,
Have mercy on me a sinner. Today, I believe that Jesus died for me and you raised Him from the dead for my Justification. I therefore declare that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord and from today, I renounce the fatherhood of Satan and embrace Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for this father in Jesus’ name! Amen.
